Befriending the Anxious Mind; Tools and Strategies for Living Peacefully and Regaining Control

February 9, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

JOIN KAT & SARAH FOR 2 HOUR WORKSHOP AT PRACTICE SF

Culturally, reports of anxiety as a chronic condition have reached nearly epidemic levels; most of us experience anxious pangs on a regular, if not constant basis. But what IS anxiety, and how do we work *with*, rather than *against* it to feel more in control, less stressed and to live a more peaceful life? Holistic psychotherapists Kat & Sarah will draw from the tried and true practices and theories that they use daily with clients in private practice to guide meaningful discussion. Additionally, they’ll introduce you to breathwork, meditation and journaling practices to incorporate into daily life.

Participants will:

  • Learn to identify and externalize the negative self talk that contributes to anxiety

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how to use mindfulness and awareness of the present moment to self soothe in times of stress or overwhelm

  • Be introduced to the concept of working with anxiety as “stuck energy” by beginning to explore the emotions stuck underneath anxiety as well as the life circumstances that exacerbate it

Sign up here through PRACTICE SF, and spend a lovely afternoon in their space with us.
